Ranking as one of the most bizarre and mysterious structures in America, the Winchester Mystery House is home to a long list of baffling oddities and unusual facts, including staircases that lead to nowhere and a staggering number of windows and doors. Sarah Winchester lived in the house during 38 years of continuous construction on its eccentric features, eventually spending more than $5.5 million on this gigantic estate.

Prices:

The Behind-the-Scenes Tour is $27 for adults, $26 for seniors 65+, and $24 for children ages 6-12. The Mansion Tour is $30 for adults, $27 for seniors, and $20 for children. The Grand Estate Tour includes both the Mansion and Behind-the-Scenes tours and is $35 for adults, $32 for seniors and $30 for children.

Every Friday the 13th and at Halloween, wander through the mansion during the special 65-minute Flashlight Tours. During Fright Nights, on select nights in September and October, the grounds of the Winchester Estate are transformed into San Jose's most terrifying Halloween experience.

There is a "secret" passageway in the Séance Room, which is one of the three exits out of the room. The first two weeks of October are the best times to experience Fright Nights, so you can take advantage of the Slasher Savings Night discounts.
